Product Description
The early and mid - 1960's, a transition period for the British Army. National Service was being phased out replaced instead with a regular volunteer force. Would it, could it work? This book describes how some of these volunteers responded to this new venture, following them through the recruit training, their posting to an operational parachute battalion ( in the author's words - in almost forgotten end of empire conflicts in places such as Aden and Borneo) and finally in battle.
Signed by the author, undedicated, this is a 2005 reprint of the 1983 original. Crease and small scribble to front cover.
