A history ( published 1982 in time for the cetenary ) of the Irish Municipal Employees trade Union ( IMETU ) , also known in its early years as the Bucket and Brush Union or The 'Muno' . One of Ireland's oldest trade Unions, with a focus on Dublin municipal workers - Corporation, city council etc, as well as fire bridages , etc, and urban maintenance staff over the century - dfficult and hard work , that was freiently underpaid, and tfrequently without secure employment contracts also. the author was secretary of teh union at the time of writing.
