David Tinker was 25 years old when he was killed by an Exocet missile attack on the HMS Glamorgan off the Falklands in June 1982. David wrote a remarkable series of letters to his family while on board the ship , and this book, ( edited by his father for publication) also includes his letters to his wife and wider family from the late 1970's onwards, serving in te Royal Navy in various locations around the world. David was sharply criticakl of how he saw teh war and teh conflict in teh Falklands, ths book is a frank account of naval life in teh period, with long periods of monotony mixed with sharp action.
