Product Description
If you have visited the Canary Islands and become curious about the indigenous population - the Guanches - then this book is a good starting point. It gives the reader a background to who the Guanches were, how they lived, what happened to them after the Spanish invaded and then finally, it proposes that they did not disappear off the map, as is commonly believed, but in fact their descendants still make up the majority of the population of the islands.
