DO YOU BUY USED BOOKS?  
Bulk Buys:
Yes we buy books from multiple sources but bulk lots are based on weight we generally don’t take in less than 500kg. For further information contact Donal at sales@thebookshop.ie

I AM A PUBLISHER OR AUTHOR - HOW DO I SELL MY BOOK ON WWW.THEBOOKSHOP.IE
We welcome Irish authors and publishers who want to sell with us. We will sell most the books of this type on a sale or return basis and list them on our site. All new books must have an ISBN. I HAVE JUST SELF-PUBLISHED A BOOK - HOW DO I SELL MY BOOK ON WWW.THEBOOKSHOP.IE
We can act as a selling agent for self-published books by agreement, We will list your book on our site as well as on eBay and Amazon. This Will ensure your book is for sale online on multiple sales channels is the best way for the maximum possible sales. We do sell used and new school novels - both primary and secondary we do not (at present) sell textbooks
 
DO YOU HAVE A LOCATION I CAN COLLECT MY ORDER FROM? 
Our warehouse is not open to the public at present. 
 
I AM INTERESTED IN BUYING BULK STOCK FOR RESALE - CAN I DO THIS? 
Yes, we can offer a vast array of bulk order options - everything from hardback books by the meter for a hotel lobby or waiting room, to mass market paperbacks by the weight / pallet for resale. Feel free to let us know what you are looking for: contact Donal at sales@thebookshop.ie
 
WHAT COURIER DO YOU USE?
We use An Post within island of Ireland, as a rule the courier will deliver the day after the books are sent . Books can be sent to a work or home address, we recommend adding your eircode and a daytime contact number in all cases. No orders are shipped or delivered on Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holidays. There may be longer closed periods where no courier deliveries operate at Christmas and New Year
 
MY ORDER IS MARKED AS PARTIALLY SHIPPED- WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? 
Currently we ship from two locations, in Limerick and Tipperary, books will be marked partially shipped if we have sent some of your order, with the balance to follow. If there is any issue with your order, we will contact you by email. 
 
CAN I SEND BOOKS TO ELSEWHERE IN THE WORLD?

I'M BUYING BOOKS FOR A SCHOOL OR COLLEGE - is there a discount?
Every order varies but yes our website automatically adds 5% discount to orders over €50 and a 10% discount for all orders that go over €100
 
Can you source multiple copies

I'M CONCERNED ABOUT PACKAGING - IS YOUR PACKAGING RECYCLED? 
At present, all of our smaller orders go out in external plastic mailing bags that are not 100% recycled, but they are partly composed of recycled plastic, as we need to balance the need to make parcels weatherproof and durable.
 A lot of the cardboard we use is recycled, and, of course in one sense all of our secondhand and used books are recycled. All damaged or unsaleable stock is recycled responsibly
 
What happens if I am not home to receive my delivery?  
Our couriers will attempt delivery at the address, if no one is home they will leave a note and the item will be returned to the depot, They will go a back on the second day also. Delivery can be rescheduled on a later time, or the item can be delivered to another address by agreement with the recipient. If the address is incomplete or there is no contact, the item will return to the depot to await a full delivery address. After 5 working days if no contact has been made or the full delivery details are not in place the parcels is returned to the thebookshop.ie
