Hamish Carter is one of New Zealand's best-known and best-loved athletes. His career at the top of world triathlon has spanned an incredible 15 years and his crowning glory came at the Athens Olympics in 2004 when he won gold. Hamish was ranked No.1 in the world from 1997-2000 and as well as his Olympic gold he has also won Commonwealth Games medals and has 25 professional triathlon victories to his credit, including 12 World Cup race wins. In 2006, at the age of 35, Hamish finished second in the world championships. His book will not just be a formulaic regurgitation of his stellar athletics career.
