Product Description
This fairly short and very readable book discusses England’s Emergency covid laws from the perspective of the compromises and balances required by human rights laws. The book exposes the lack of scrutiny and accountability of those in power, the sidelining of the UK Parliament and how the police used made up laws to justify oppression. The book is full of tolerance, recognising that imperfections and compromises are inevitable and proportionate, but it is also critical of reckless abuses. The UK had the third highest death rate in Western Europe as a result of Goverment failing to act in a coherent manner.
