Product Description
Born in the East End of London in the 1920s, Elizabeth was brought up above the family business. She spent much of her early life playing in the shop, under the watchful eye of her father. The author tells of the happier moments of childhood, but she also covers the difficult things such as illness and financial hardship, and the disappointments of childish expectations.
