Product Description
Born in the United States, in The Bronx, his family relocated to Ireland, to Roscommon - and to a GAA community. And while Caulfield loved Gaelic football, his brilliance on the soccer field and his scoring touch meant that his 'football life' turned in a different direction.
He would represent Roscommon and Cork on GAA fields, but it was with Cork City and in the League of Ireland that he would leave an indelible mark on the Irish sporting landscape. He won league and cup honours as a player with City. He made a record number of appearances for the club, and still holds (jointly) the title of club all time top scorer.
Caulfield, however, never stopped dreaming for himself and the City he adopted. In 2013, he was appointed manager of the club and he set out to bring to an end a long and fallow period for Cork supporters.
'Rebel Heart' is the story of a remarkable life, and the story of Cork winning the 2016 FAI Cup, and 'The Double' of League title and Cup in 2017. It is also a story of pride and ambition. And a determination to prove to a city and its people that they had every right to live their dreams on a football field.
