Cecil King was a hugely well connected man in publishing and newspapers. Born in 1901, Raised in Dublin, he was the son of A Trinity College professor. His mother was sister to newspaper magantes Lord Rothermere and Lord Northcliffe , He became director of the Daily mirror in 1929, and later Chairman of the Mirror Group , and also director of the Bank of England and Reuters.
This book is addressed to his grandchildren - in it he lists and quotes profound quotes , poems, from his long life as a reader. With an introduction by King also.
