After returning from exile in the U.S. back to Manila where she led her husband's funeral cortege, Cory took his place as leader of a people's revolution that swept the Marcos regime from power. In spite of civil and racial strife, communist insurrection, and economic chaos, she is beginning to restore peace, freedom and stability to a land of 7,000 islands and 55,000,000 people.
