This book, the first published in the (ongoing) Murder Most Local Series, contains accounts of 47 true life historical murders in East Cork , Some are well known cases that have lived on in folklore, others are long forgotten, only to be revealed in this book.
From Youghal to Fermoy and Aghada to Conna, a murder location is only ever a few miles away. Motives have not changed over the years - love, sex, drink and arguments about land. Some murders remain unsolved and others are obvious from the start who done it and why. Each story is completely different and unique.
As well as telling the story of these murders it also describes how the legal system of the time functioned. At times justice is swift and brutal and some where the system protects its own. It's for you to decide who done it or whether it was murder at all.
