Raymond Murray was a Catholic priest, who took an initial interest in the role of the SAS as part of a human rights campaign in Northern Ireland - and the alleged shoot to kill policy that was used, and the deaths of people who may have been innocent. Given his background, the book tends to have sources from one side only, but is a detailed account of the huge role in intelligence and counter terrorism that the SAS played, as well as the nexus between the military, special units, and MI5/MI6 .
