God on the Wall tells the story of Elizabeth Wallace. Having grown up in a dysfunctional family, she has no wish to be part of a family again. The novel explores her journey as a working-class woman deciding on single motherhood. It is about family: old and new.
Set in Limerick, where the author lives, at the time of publication ( 1997) she also worked as a literacy tutor in Limerick Prison.
