The true account, originally published in French, of the authors travel to Borneo, where, deep in the jungles, and lost, he was unwittingly taken in by two Iban headhunters, and lived among the Iban people for an extended period , becoming a member of the community.
Second printing, translated from the original French by Len Ortzen, with map and a large section of b&w author's photographs. There is a closed blade cut to the centre of the front cover , and a previous owners name neatly on the front endpaper.
