Product Description
Dans un mois, dans un an (Those Without Shadows) was Françoise Sagan's third novel and was published in 1957. It is set in Paris at the time it was written, and centres around a group of artistic and intellectual Parisians whose individual identities have become weak and superficial, and whose lives lack any real purpose. Although a best seller in her native country, it was less well received elsewhere than her previous work, particularly America where critics appeared unable to attune to the novel's existential accent. It is, in fact, a compelling study of character, sexual politics and emotional devastation.
