Product Description
The Exploring English series of textbooks have resonated with countless thousands of Irish students. Originally aimed at the Intermediate Cert ( or Inter - the predecessor of the Junior Cert) For many they provided a gateway to a life time of reading and enjoyment of literature. For even more they were an icon of their school days with their unmistakable angular cover design. They are still a cherished possession in many households, taken out occasionally and nostalgically, to read a story, poem or essay and perhaps even the accompanying notes which were so enlightening for some yet challenging for others.
This was Book 2 of the trilogy - Book 1 was short stories, and book 3 Poetry, all with the same cover design , but in different colours. First published 1967. The other two books were republished recently by Gill & Macmillan, but Book 2 was not, probably due to rights reasons.
