We chatted for hours over tea in Jury's where he explained
the ISEQ, FTSE, NASDAQ and DOW,
for this I will be eternally grateful.
He even held my hand, brushed my cheek leaving.
Last week I asked him to be honest,
To let me know if this was going anywhere.
He said he had some issues:
first, there was the question of height -
he was six foot one, I was four foot eleven in my socks.
Then there was the question of weight
but we won't go into that.
Then comes the real problem,
the fact that I didn't have a sustainable income.
Everything in his life fitted into a little box - except me.
Another one not only bites the dust but hopefully chokes on it.
