The author, Críostóir ó Floinn, was born in Limerick in 1927. this was his first novel for adults in Irish, after having written short fiction for children and worked as a journalist before this novel, published by Cló Mhorainn, Dublin 1955.
The dustjacket is scuffed, bumped, and shows sunning /fade to the spine, , where the geometric pink design nad faded to grey at the base. Small triangular chip missing from jacket at spine folds, and small crescent shaped are of loss at back upper edge.
