Published by Odhams UK, this is a full detailed knitting guide ( very much of it's time - published in the immediate postwar years, when self sufficiency in clothing was as important as food , hence the impetus to knit clothing , especially for children.
Some of these designs are ( unintentionally) odd looking now due to fashions changing ( knitted underwear or swimwear is perhaps no longer common) , but many of the basic patterns, for sweaters, cardigans and children's / babywear are useable.
