Product Description
Though much of his working life was spent as editor of the RTE Guide, Garry Redmond's contribution to Irish sports journalism was, indeed, significant, as can be seen in Sapient Colloquy: the sports writing of Garry Redmond, which is a selection of articles he contributed to The Observer newspaper, between 1961 and 1973. With the enthusiastic support of Garry's friend, Frank Caffrey, the book was edited by Nick Redmond and is a worthy tribute to his father, who died in March 2001. The title comes from a phrase in Flann O'Brien's At Swim two Birds.
Paperback, signed ( at the end of the introduction) by Garry's son, John Redmond. Some x marks to certain chapters.
