Product Description
Yuan, a young man from Shanghai emigrates to Montreal because he feels like a stranger in his own country. He leaves behind his family and his fiancée Sassa, who is to join him later. Da Li, a classmate of lovers, also comes to settle in Montreal. This novel is in a way the exchange of mail between the three young Chinese and their family. It expresses the difficulties experienced by immigrants, uprooted, feeling that they are no longer like those of their country but also not integrated into North American society. It is also a story of a love triangle, since Da Li is in love with Yuan and writes it to Sassa, without however saying that it is about the young man.
