    Published by Four Courts Press , 2000, hardcover. Light edgewear to covers only, otherwise in very good condition. One of a number of volumes on Irish legal history , policing and law copublished with the Irish Legal History Society. 

    The King's Serjeants were an elite, ancient order of senior barristers in Ireland, dating from the 13th century until 1922. They held exclusive rights to plead in the Court of Common Pleas, ranked higher than Knights, and were the primary Crown legal advisors before being superseded by Queen’s Counsel.
