A first edition copy of Brian Lenihan ( Snr) 's 1991 autobiography, For The Record, published by Blackwater Press 1991. Primarily a response by Lenihan to his failed Presidential bid in 1990, where he lost to Mary Robinson in a three horse race that also included Austin Currie. Lenihan felt wronged by events, and this is his response in attempting to set the record straight. Political autobiographies were relatively rare in Irish politics up to the 1990's.
