The author paints aportarit of his youth and life in Ireland in the 1940's and 1950's. his own background was geographically diverse in Ireland - - his paternal grandparents were fro west Krerry, and his maternal grandparents were a Galway Big House house family, ( and he evantually settled in Galway as a lecturer in UCG, after stnts in Dublin where he worked as an actor at the Abbey and for the early years of RTE.
Heavy creasing to the dustjacket externally, inside solid in pale green cloth with titles in gilt to spine.
