Product Description
Seán Treacy was a leader in the Third Tipperary Brigade IRA during the Irish War of Independence, a key figure in the Soloheadbeg Ambush that helped initiate the conflict in 1919, and was killed in a Dublin shootout with British forces in October 1920. He became a martyr for the Republican cause, and his story and that of the Third Tipperary Brigade were documented by Desmond Ryan in the 1945 book, of which this is a reprint edition - Sean Treacy and the Third Tipperary Brigade.
This is an Anvil Press reprint edition, (undated , but 1960's) with a striking cover design. Heavy age tanning to the paper.
