Product Description
Father Browne's lifelong hobby was photography.
This volume concentrates on photographs relating to R.M.S 'Titanic'. Browne joined the ship at Southampton 10th April, 1912, and disembarked at Queenstown (now Cobh). During the only safe journey the liner ever took, he photographed many shots of the liner, many of which proved to be the last snaps from the liner ever afloat. Some are absolutely unique; the shot (double exposed) of the Titanic Marconi wireless room is the only one available. Another shot on page 72 shows the life boats being lowered and in the distance is E.J Smith, the captain. This was the last photograph of him alive.
