Hazel Smyth was a former employee of B&I, the shipping and ferry company that formed a crucial part of co,mmerce , trade and transport on the Irish sea in the 20th century. Former from the City of Dublin Steam Packet Company, that shipped mail across teh Irish sea for almost a century from 1824, the B& I ,founded in 1836, and the Cork steamship Company, founded in 1838. All three merged into what becma eknown simply as B & I.
