Horace Plunkett was a commentator on Irish affairs from 1890 to 1920. In 1904 he published his master work, outlining his blueprint to Ireland's future. His main point was that the people of Ireland needed to strengthen their moral fibre and get on with their lives, concentrate on local industries, self sufficiency, education ( including adult education, local co-ops in rural areas, and a host of other practical suggestions.
