Hardcover, this edition published by Dutton USA, 9th reprint edition, 1932. A solid copy in red cloth , titles in decorative gilt littering to front and spine. In the original dustjacket which is chipped, edgeworn and dustdarkned, as well as being heavily sunned to the spine, from pale yellow to coffee coloured brown. Remnants of a small label on spine, as if from a library, but no other library marks or stamps, so possibly a personal label from a previous owner.

What would now be termed native American myths anmd 'fairytales' here they are called fairytales of 'the red man', Indian etc. There is a modern ( 1995) gift inscription ( short at least) in pen to the blank endpage.
