Len Deighton is perhaps best known as a thriller and espionage qwriter, but he also produced a number of hugely successful military history titles - notably Fighter on the Battle of Britain, and this book, billed as a companion volume to it - Blitzkrieg - a detailed history of the rise of the Nazi party and the subsequent Nazi and Wehrmacht war machine in the lightning war in the west and Scandinavia in 1940.
Internally very good, but the title word is faded almost completely on the pine from red to almost invisible pink. No other marks or damage noted, published by Jonathan Cape UK , 1979.
