Dr Mary Ryan trained in Trinity College Dublin and obtained her MB BCH BAO MA MD. She then specialised in endocrinology. She is also on the Specialist Registrar and is an adjunct Professor in Trinity College Dublin and has helped set up the postgraduate school in University of Limerick in 2007 and is still teaching medical students there.
She has long been championing the causes of women and is one of the key experts on perimenopause and menopause. She is a regular contributor to the media and health podcasts and is the author of the bestselling book It's Probably Your Hormones, which was nominated for an Irish Book Award. She is passionate about education and believes it is the best way to create positive change.
