Product Description
The first in a series of highly illustrated books that take a nostalgic look at life in 20th-century Britain through amateur photographs, ephemera, and postcards,
'On Holiday' visually explores where people stayed, what they wore, where they went, how they got there, and what they did.
Using predominantly amateur photographs from family albums alongside postcards, publicity material, and a range of ephemera from the Edwardian era to the 1970s, this feast of nostalgia offers an evocative snapshot of holiday life in 20th-century Britain.
NB: Despite the dust wrapper and cover of the book stating 'On Holiday', the title page reads 'The Way We Were On Holiday' and that is how it is catalogued.
