When she discovers that it will cost several thousand less to have electricity installed if the farm is a working farm, she doesn't sit around wringing her hands and bewailing her lot - she just starts researching what she needs to do to qualify as a working farm. And then buys a cow, promptly christened 'Electra', which qualifies her for the lower-cost electricity installation!
