Nothing to be Done is a story of a young man’s journey from childhood, through adolescence and into adulthood. It brings to life an Ireland of the sixties and a London of the seventies, filled with memorable characters and sometimes tragic, sometimes hilarious episodes.
Dermot O’Sullivan is a prize winning short story writer and his stories have been published widely. He is also a former winner of the Bryan MacMahon short story prize at the Listowel Literary Festival. This memoir, Nothing to be Done, was published in 2023 by The Harvest Press.
