Studied in Dublin, the worked in the UK Returned to Ireland, and after a short time moved to Killarney where he met and married Carmel O’Leary, whose family had a tradition of involvement in Killarney Racecourse and also in the greyhound racing business. He beacme involved in the the revival of Killarney Races, and was on the Committee of Killarney Racecourse.
