Published by Brogeen , the children's imprint of Dolmen Press, this is an early work from Sebastian Barry, and his only work aimed at children and YA - Elsewhere : The Adventures of Belemus. This is the true first edition - no mention of other editions to copyright page - later editions were published by Colin Smythe UK.
Hardcover in dustjacket, illustrated , first edition, first printing. Some slight sun fade ( spine only, and uniformly insofar as it's visible)
Interior art by Raymond Mullan, design and layout by Liam Miller. This was the first original fiction title published by Brogeen .
One of Barry's harder to find titles.
Flaws - there is a closed tear to the upper edge of the back dustjacket corner, and a previous owners gift inscription ( from a Vera to a Malachy Xmas 1993 on the title page in large blue pen letters, )
