First published in 1963, this is a hardcover Faber reprint edition, (also 1963) of Richard Murphy's Sailing to an Island, one of his earliest collections, and including some of his key early poems - The Last Galway Hooker, Sailing to an Island, The Cleggan Disaster and The Drowning of a Novice
Light edgewear to the covers, creases to corners. There is a long period inscription to the previous owner, with handwritten text from Girl at the Seaside poem ( the inscription is not by the poet)
