This is the 'Big Book' as its also known, third printing 'new and revised' ( from 1976), based on the US original published in 1939.
Includes the forewords to both the first and second editions. the twelve steps programme ( as it came to be called) and a large section of personal stories of alcoholics who used the system and the support network it created.
While the original AA program had a religious slant, it was aimed at both atheist and believer.
575 pages, spotting to the page block ends, but binding is solid in dark blue cloth, titles embossed to front cover and in gold gilt to spine. no inscriptions or underlining.
Internally unmarked, as new there are small closed tears to the edges of the dustjacket.
