Listen to what I have to say, I promise you, you have felt this way too. Years of my youth spent writing and feeling, I have brought with me here, to share with you. The constant journey of losing and finding myself throughout my teenage years. This creative outlet of mine became my safe haven. For every journey I’ve been on, these words carried me through them all. Find comfort in these words. Find home. Find all the things you couldn’t say and find peace within them.
My name is Amy, I’m 17 years old and I’m from a small county in rural Ireland. I started writing poetry from a very young age as a creative outlet. Eventually, it became my safe heaven. For every journey I’ve been on, these words carried me through them all.
I want to thank the souls who inspired me to write this book. The souls who I have loved and lost, the souls I have loved and left and the souls I loved and will continue to love forever.
But I also want to thank you for being here, for holding my love in your hands and hearing my words. For being brave enough to acknowledge your hurt and strong enough to heal it.
I have been granted an amazing opportunity to work with Perspective Press Global as they bring me on a new journey to publishing my very first book. I’m ecstatic for the day my poetry unfolds from my hands into yours.
