Issued as a two volume edition, This is a second edition ( revised and expanded edition) of the collected letters and correspondence of Rev Doyle, bishop of the Catholic diocese of Kildare and Leighin ( known as JKL) This is volume 1 only, with letters to 1826.
This edition co-published hy James Duffy & sons and M.H Gill & Sons , Dublin 1880 , originally 1862 .
Smaller format blue cloth, binding good if loosened somewhat , usual pale lemon oloured original endpapers, Attractive gilt illustration to the front covers, of an intertwined JKL and emblem of diocese. Titles in gilt to spine, blindstamped shamrrock trefoils to each corner on front and back.
