Product Description
This is Rita Kelly's sixth collection of poetry. Sometimes these collections are in Irish or English or both languages. This one exhibits a marked maturity. The title echoes Marvell's Thoughts in a Garden, the work winds its way to a Paradise, different from Marvell's, more of her time. There is a search for cultural identity here in this work as well as thoughts upon cultural diversity. Like most of her poetry, it is informed by the personal but the political is never far from her thoughts either, even when she withdraws into happiness.
