Product Description
Superintendent William Geary was unjustly dismissed by the Irish Executive Council on 25 June 1928 contrary to his legal rights under Police Rules, Statutory Law and the Irish Constitution; he was a resourceful Officer and a thorn in the side of the armed anti-Treaty IRA who, as an alternative to assassination, deceived the Garda Commissioner into believing that he had taken a bribe for secret internal information. He campaigned for 70 years to establish his innocence but the Irish government officials evaded responsibility by prevarication, conspiracy and deceit. This David and Goliath struggle shows how one man of courage and conviction can triumph over wickedness.
