The Family D'Alembert series is a science fiction sequence of novels by Stephen Goldin and E.E Doc Smith - the first of which was expanded from the 1964 novella The Imperial Stars by E. E. "Doc" Smith.
The novels are set in a future where humankind has expanded to the stars but reverted to an ancient feudal system of government in an advanced technological setting. Jules and Yvette D'Alembert are a brother and sister team of aerialists in the D'Alembert family and also work as agents in SOTE, "The Service of The Empire", the imperial intelligence agency.
