Published by Torc/Gill & Macmillan 1973, this was Garret Fitzgerald's thoughts and detailed manifesto on what he then saw as teh future plans for Ireland - both the prospects for a unified Ireland ( or at least an agreed Ireland- as eventually came to pass gradually with the long sequence that led from Sunningdale, to the Anglo-Irish Agreement, the peace process and the Good Friday Agreement.
Fitzgerald was particularly perceptive on the roles that social and demographic change would play in the coming years.
Originally published 1972, this was a 1973 update with a new preface by the author.
