Product Description
This book was inspired by the bitter controversy that dogged the plans by Dublin Corporation to build an enormous office block on the site of early Viking Dublin. 'The book tells the story of one very small area of Dublin - principally the excavation site bounded by Wood Quay, Winetavern Street, Christ Church Place, and Fishamble Street. The fifteen illustrations chart the development of the city in successive stages over a thousand years.
