A HB 1964 reprint edition of Kinsale born Robert Gibbings Sweet Cork of Thee, first published by Dent in1951.
Gibbings was a master illustrator, the artwork in this is evocative, and captures the Irish wild countryside with exceptional skill.
THe dustjacket is edgeworn and bumped to the corners, although lightly. This is a former hospital copy ( but with very light wear - it is stamped Bon Secours Hospital, and the dustjacket and inside front endpages show ghostmarks from having been taped by sticky tape at some stage ( all tape has now fallen off, but shows brown marks as a result)
