Murder mystery
This is a murder mystery with a difference, the killer is identified to us at the start of the book. Set in Cork, Eve Black is the only member of her family to survive when the killer, Jim, breaks into their home, murders her parents and sister and then he disappears. He leaves no trace of himself at the scene of the crime. Eve was 12 years old at the time. After university Eve writes a book about the murders and the effect it had on her. She teams up with a retired Detective, Ed Healy, who worked on the original case. Both are determined to identify the killer and appeal to the public for their help. Jim, who still lives in Cork, reads the book with mounting anxiety and decides he must silence her. I could not put this book down. It is fast paced. I love her style of writing and clever plot. A must read.
