Text by Martina O'Feardhaigh, who also provides an introduction, all the photographs ( taken from circa 1969-1975) are by the US photographer Janine Wiedel. All are black and white, locations are not given for most, there is a mix of urban and rural locations. Some are candid street scenes, the majority are portrait style .
The black and white nature of the photographs lends tehm an air of being from an older time - the harshness of the conditions also. All the caravans showsn are the traditional round topped, horse drawn wagon type - no mobile homes at this point.
Condition - there are three small closed tears to the upper edge of teh front of the dustjacket, light dustdarkening marks to top of page block. Internally unmarked.
