My Name is Bear is a collection of songs written in my transition years of 18 to 21. These particular stories were lived between Alaska, Louisiana, and Hawaii. Whatever final strings of childhood were holding me back were finally cut loose. A little cub bolted from his cave and began devouring all that the wilderness had to offer. My true north awaited me.

During these formidable years my father was diagnosed with cancer, mushrooms became my tool in deconstructing my relationship to Creator, and I found my birth mother. I managed to avoid getting run over by a moose, nearly drowning in a river with a belly full of wine and nose speckled with cocaine, getting shot at by drug dealers, and finding a whole new work ethic and appreciation for hard earned money on the island of Hawaii.

These are the short stories that give depth to the songs. A kind of behind the music literature for folks who love words as much as melody.

This book is second hand, and while you may not get the same publication/version/reprint/edition shown in the picture it will be the same author and title.
